Art is My Rock – Jan. 10

A Bi-Weekly Virtual Gathering

R | Re-Center

O | I am “Okay

C | Stay Creative

K | Kind to myself

Every other Sunday, 1:00-2:00 pm (PST) / 4-6:00 pm Eastern
January 10 – March 21

During these still uncertain and challenging times, it’s easy to get derailed, and lose a sense of hope. When we gather, we are reminded we are not going through this alone and we find we are stronger and feel more able to endure as a collective. Join me in this bi-weekly gathering, online where we will reconnect with our center, our own internal support and strength through art making.

Whether it is through a mixed media mini, a page in your art journal or junk journal. Whatever is your preferred art making practice. We will process the challenges of this time together by reconnecting to the gift of our own creativity and internal wisdom. During each session I will begin with a prompt/intention for your art making.

This class is not about creating a piece of artwork or a final project, but simply to use Art as a way to process what we might be feeling, connect to our creativity and find our center. You are free to dive deep or keep it simple, whatever you are most comfortable with. When we are using art making as a way to self-care we are kinder to ourselves.

The primary purpose of this class is to have a creative outlet to help all of us get through these times together.

I am limiting the size of this group in order to maintain an intimate and cozy feel. Adults 18+

Below is a list of materials you will need for this class.

If you are unable to make any of the classes, no worries, I will be recording each session so they will be available for later viewing during the duration of the class, plus a week after the class has ended.

Non-Zoomer Option
Do you feel overwhelmed by the thought of using Zoom? Don’t have a computer with video & audio? Or you just would prefer not to attend an online class live?
No worries. I realize that the whole tech stuff can be a huge learning curve for many and can be overwhelming. It’s more important to me that this class is available to everyone on different levels, so you have a Non-Zoomer Option to take this class.

Email Recordings: You don’t need to attend any of the Zoom classes LIVE, but instead you have the option to take the class by watching the recordings that will be emailed to you after each class has ended. You will receive all the same PDFs of lessons and instructions. You will also be able to email me with any questions about the project and techniques. Recordings will be available for viewing online for the duration of the class, plus a week after the last class has ended.

“ I participated in Lisa’s Wabi Sabi class as a “Non-Zoomer” and for me it couldn’t have been more successful. I work from home in the company of two noisy dogs. Not a good prescription for a Zoom class. I found that participating as a Non-Zoomer, more than met my needs. I was able to enjoy each of the classes on my own time and at my own pace.

Lisa’s communication skills in introducing the materials available to assemble our collages, and her demonstrations on how to apply the materials used, left no question unanswered.
The Wabi Sabi class was very inspirational and it was Lisa’s teaching skills that made it such a success. Thank You! – Patricia
