Book of Creative Awakenings

4-Week Online Class Series
June 6 – 27, 2020
Saturdays & Wednesdays 12 Noon-1:15 pm (PT)
LIVE on Zoom (requires a computer, tablet or smart phone with a camera enabled).

In this class series we will be exploring different mixed media techniques such as watercolor effects, mark making, paper fabric, painting on brown paper bags and much more.  These techniques will free up your creativity by staying spontaneous, abstract and organic. We will explore how to combine different mediums & materials to create textural and artistic pages for a book you will then bind together. This class is about having fun doing something spontaneous without having to be artistic or perfect in what you create.

Join me on this LIVE online class series that will happen via Zoom beginning Saturday June 6. This is how it will work. There will be 2 class sessions per week. Below is a class schedule with dates along with what techniques we will be working on.

If you are unable to make any of the classes, no worries, I will be recording each session so they will be available for later viewing.

New to using Zoom? I will be offering a warm up session a few days before the class begins to help you get familiar with the process of how it all works, so you can feel comfortable taking a class online (To be announced).

You can also watch this quick video on how to join the classroom

Non-Zoomer Option

Do you feel overwhelmed by the thought of using Zoom? Or you just would prefer not to attend an online class live? No worries. I realize that the whole tech stuff can be a huge learning curve for many and can be overwhelming. It’s more important to me that this class is available to everyone on different levels, so I also offer a Non-Zoomer Option to take this class.

This is how it will work. After each class session you will receive an email from me with a link to an online course version of the live class. Included will be printable materials and video demonstrations & lectures of the exact same techniques I will be teaching in the LIVE class. You can watch the courses at your leisure, when it’s convenient to you and in the comfort of your own home. You will also be able to email me with any questions about the project and techniques.

Below is a list of materials you will need. I’ve tried to make it some what easy so only a few items may need to be purchased.
You will not need all the materials on the first week and will have some time to order items you don’t have.

Upon registration, you will receive an email with a detailed schedule and what materials you will need at each class session.
